Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek zamieszkujący południową i środkową część Europy, wykazywany również z Finlandii, Kaukazu i Azji Mniejszej. Listwiaczek najmniejszy był w Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w ośmiu krainach zachodnich i południowych oraz w okolicy Warszawy. Głównym żywicielem tego kornika jest sosna pospolita, spotykany także sporadycznie na jałowcu, kosodrzewinie i sośnie czarnej. Opada obumarłe gałęzie i gałązki drzew stojących. Obraz żerowiska wieloramienny, podłużny, silnie narusza drewno. Komora godowa wyraźna: chodnik macierzysty długości do 6 cm, za każdą niszą jajową lekko zmienia kierunek. Chodniki larwalne regularne. Żerowiska silnie odbite w bielu.
