Burakowski et al. 1978:

Gatunek szeroko rozpowszechniony w całej Europie z wyjątkiem północnych części Fennoskandii. W Polsce pospolity występuje lokalnie, w górach sięga ponad górną granicę lasu. Zamieszkuje nory ssaków, znajdowany również w przedsionkach jaskiń i na padlinie.
