Taxon description

Prószyński et Staręga 1971:

Rzadki gatunek, znany poza Polską z Anglii, Niemiec i Rumunii. Żyje w sciółce lasów liściastych, głównie bukowych. Często spotykany w jaskiniach.
Wiehle (1956) stwierdził identyczność Linyphia cavernarum L. Koch, 1872 i Centromerus jacksoni Denis, 1952. Przyjmujemy jego opinię i stosujemy konsekwentnie starszą nazwę.
