Prószyński et Staręga 1971:
Gatunek szeroko rozmieszczony w Europie: od Francji po ZSRR i od Norwegii po Włochy, Jugosławię i Rumunię. Żyje w runie i mchu lasów iglastych, głównie górskich oraz w strefie roślinności alpejskiej. W Tatrach spotykany do 2200 m n.p.m.
