Burakowski et al. 1976:
Szeroko rozprzestrzeniony gatunek holarktyczny, w Europie sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. Występuje od niżu do strefy lasów reglowych w górach. Znajdowany pod gnijącymi liśćmi i w ekskrementach bydlęcych.
