Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony głównie w środkowej części Europy, docierający na zachód do Nadrenii, Turyngii i Saksonii, a na północ do Danii i południowych obszarów Skandynawii. W Polsce chrząszcz mało znany, wykazywany z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w dziesięciu krainach na niżu i wyżynach. Ryjkowiec kserotermofilny, występujący na polach, miedzach, suchych zboczach, rumowiskach, w zaroślach i koło murów. Żyje na pszonaku drobnokwiatowym — Erysimum cheiranthoides L. i pszonaku jastrzębcolistnym — E. hieraciifolium L.
