Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek rozpowszechniony w prawie całej Palearktyce. W Polsce dość pospolity, ale niezbyt często spotykany. Żyje głównie w wyschniętych odchodach krów, koni i owiec, niekiedy znajdowany pod gnijącymi roślinami i w grzybach.
