Taxon description
Gatunek znany głównie ze środkowej Europy, notowany również z nielicznych stanowisk na półwyspie Bałkańskim i w Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce dość rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, nie znany z północnej części kraju. Wymagania środowiskowe niezbyt dobrze zbadane, według W. Szymczakowskiego (1969) gatunek związany jest prawdopodobnie z gniazdami gryzoni.
