Burakowski et al. 1978:

Gatunek rozmieszczony w środkowej Europie, na południe sięgający do Włoch i Półwyspu Bałkańskiego, w areale występowania coraz rzadziej spotykany w miarę posuwania się w kierunku północnym. W Polsce rzadko i sporadycznie poławiany na nielicznych stanowiskach rozmieszczonych w środkowej, południowej i zachodniej części kraju. Znajdowany przeważnie w norach ssaków.
