Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990b:
Gatunek zamieszkujący południową i środkową część Europy, na północ docierający do Danii i południowej Fennoskandii. W Polsce, choć nie znany jeszcze z wielu krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze prócz wyższych partii górskich. Stanowiska z Karpat wymagają sprawdzenia, gdyż według najnowszych badań występuje tam tylko Ch. (H.) cuprina (Duft.). Zasiedla tereny nizinne i górzyste. Spotykany na pobrzeżach lasów, polanach leśnych, miedzach, ugorach i suchych łąkach. Jako roślinę żywicielską podawano dziurawiec zwyczajny — Hypericum perforatum L. Poławiany od wiosny do września.
