Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990b:
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem południową i środkową część Europy, Afrykę Północną, Azję Mniejszą i Środkową. W Polsce chrząszcz pospolity, prócz wyższych partii górskich występujący na całym obszarze, ale z niektórych krain jeszcze nie notowany. Spotykany od maja do sierpnia nad brzegami cieków wodnych i wilgotnych Jakach, przeważnie na różnych gatunkach z rodzaju mięta — Mentha L.
