Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Gatunek kosmopolityczny, prawdopodobnie pochodzenia nearktycznego.
Holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żeruje na zdrewniałych gałązkach żywotnika zachodniego — Thuja occidentalis L. i jałowca wirginijskiego — Juniperus virginiana L. Szkodnik żywotnika, powoduje usychanie gałęzi i zamieranie całych krzewów.
