Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Europa, Syberia, Mongolia, Japonia; Ameryka Północna.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żeruje na korze gałęzi różnych modrzewi, u nas na modrzewiu europejskim — Larix decidua Mill, i modrzewiu polskim — Larix polonica Rac. Nie jest odwiedzany przez mrówki.
