Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Kserotermofilny gatunek rozsiedlony od południowo-wschodniej Polski i Słowacji przez Węgry, Rumunię, Bułgarię, Grecję, Azję Mniejszą po Turkmenię i Syberię; notowany również z północnych Włoch. W Polsce mało znany; dotychczas znaleziony tylko na kilku stanowiskach na Wyżynie Lubelskiej i Roztoczu. Żyje wyłącznie na dziewannie fioletowej — Verbascum phoeniceum L., roślinie rosnącej na suchych łąkach, przydrożach, wzgórzach i stepach.
