Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w zachodniej, środkowej i południowo-wschodniej części Europy, sięgający na północ po południowe obszary Fennoskandii, a na wschód po Zakaukazie. W Polsce notowany głównie z terenów wyżynnych w południowej części kraju oraz z nielicznych stanowisk na północy. Spotykany na suchych i ciepłych miejscach — na łąkach, pastwiskach, przydrożach, murawach, wzgórzach, zrębach leśnych, brzegach lasu i zarośli. Żyje na dziewannie pospolitej — Verbascum nigrum L., dziewannie drobnokwiatowej — V. thapsus L. i dziewannie firletkowej — V. lychnitis L. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano od lipca do września.
