Taxon description
Gatunek rozpowszechniony od Wysp Brytyjskich i południowej części Fennoskandii przez całą Europę aż do północnych części południowej Europy. W Polsce, choć nieznany jeszcze ze wszystkich krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze z wyjątkiem wyższych partii górskich. Znajdowany głównie na nasłonecznionych miejscach, najczęściej w gniazdach mrówek Lasius flavus (F.), rzadziej Myrmica laevinodis Nyl.
