Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Gatunek rozsiedlony w Europie od południowych obszarów Fennoskandii po kraje śródziemnomorskie, docierający na wschód do Syberii, Kaukazu i Syrii. W Polsce, chociaż nie notowany jeszcze z niektórych krain, występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju, od Bałtyku aż po Tatry. Występuje na łąkach, miedzach, zrębach, suchych wzgórzach, w rowach, zaroślach i widnych lasach. Żyje na dzwonku brzoskwiniolistnym — Campanula persicifolia L., dzwonku okrągłolistnym — C. rotundifolia L. i dzwonku skupionym — C. glomerata L. Larwa żeruje i odbywa rozwój w torebkach nasiennych; żywi się nasionami, nie powodując wyrośli.
