Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986b:
Gatunek szeroko rozpowszechniony w Palearktyce, występujący w całej Europie aż do najdalszych krańców północnych. Jest to jeden z najczęściej spotykanych gatunków biedronek. Występuje w najróżnorodniejszych środowiskach, zarówno suchych, jak i wilgotnych. W jesieni gromadzi się licznie w młodnikach sosnowych i na suchych roślinach. Zimuje w ściółce, wśród mchów i pod opadłym listowiem.
