Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Obszar rozsiedlenia tego gatunku obejmuje głównie zachodnią, południową i środkową Europę; północna granica zasięgu przebiega przez południową część Skandynawii i Finlandię. W Polsce, aczkolwiek nie jest jeszcze znany z niektórych krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, być może z wyjątkiem wyższych partii górskich. Poławiano go w jasnych lasach liściastych i mieszanych, zwłaszcza na nasłonecznionych brzegach oraz w zaroślach na skrajach lasu. Żyje na dębie bezszypułkowym — Quercus sessilis Ehrh., dębie szypułkowym — Q. robur L. i dębie omszonym — Q. pubescens Willd. Według B. Petryszaka (1988) jest gatunkiem charakterystycznym runa i podszytu grądów.
