Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1990b:

Gatunek zamieszkujący południową i środkową część Europy, na północ sięgający po Irlandię, Nadrenię, Góry Harcu, środkową Polskę i po dolinę Dniestru. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk rozmieszczonych głównie w południowej części kraju. Występuje w środowiskach z roślinnością kserotermofilną. Chrząszcze pojawiają się w drugiej połowie lipca; żerują na roślinach baldaszkowatych — Umbelliferae.
