Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986b:

Gatunek kosmopolityczny, znany prawie ze wszystkich krajów europejskich. W Polsce notowany z dziewięciu krain, poza Śląskiem przeważnie z pojedynczych stanowisk w poszczególnych krainach. Występuje głównie w środowiskach synantropijnych. Łowiono go w stodołach, szopach, piwnicach, spichrzach, magazynach i mieszkaniach — na pleśniejących drewnianych ścianach i podłogach, wilgotnych tapetach, wśród słomy, siana, zboża i jego przetworów. Znajdowany niekiedy w lasach pod opadłym listowiem, na murszejącym drewnie i hubach oraz w stertach zestruganej kory świerkowej.
