Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1993:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Wysp Brytyjskich, Danii i południowych prowincji Fennoskandii oraz Karelii aż po kraje śródziemnomorskie, wykazywany poza tym z. Kaukazu i Armenii. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk rozproszonych w różnych częściach kraju. Żyje w martwym, wilgotnym drewnie wierzb, topoli, osik, kasztanowców, rzadziej wiązów, dębów, buków, świerków i jodeł. Poławiany w ciągu całego roku.
