Rozmieszczenie jeszcze nie zbadane na podstawie rozmieszczenia rośliny ży- wicielskiej można sądzić, że jest on dość szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w Palearktyce. Żyje na bylicy piołunie — Artemisia absinthium L.
