Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w Europie od Wysp Brytyjskich, południowych prowincji Fennoskandii oraz Karelii do strefy roślinności śródziemnomorskiej, notowany poza tym z Syberii. W Polsce, choć nie znany jeszcze z 10 krain, występuje zapewne na całym obszarze prócz wyższych partii górskich. Żeruje głównie na topoli osice — Populus tremula L., rzadziej na innych gatunkach topól.
