Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990b:
Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w Europie i Syberii, na wschód docierający do Korei; w Fennoskandii sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze prócz wyższych partii górskich, ale brak jeszcze udokumentowanych danych o jego występowaniu w wielu krainach. Spotykany od maja do czerwca na różnych drzewach i krzewach liściastych, głównie na brzozach, wierzbach, wiązach i leszczynach.
