Europa, Ameryka Północna.
Gatunek holocykliczny i różnodomny. Migruje z porzeczek — Ribes rubrum L. i Ribes nigrum L. na poziewnik — Galeopsis speciosa Mill, i Galeopsis tetrahit L. Notowany jako wektor chorób wirusowych.
