Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Jeden z najpospolitszych gatunków kapturnic, wszędzie spotykany. Motyl lata od poł. VI do końca VII. Gąsienice od VII do IX żerujące na bylicy polnej, piołunie i wg innych źródeł na rumianku i wrotyczy spotyka się na ugorach i przydrożach. Zimują poczwarki w mocnych, filcowatych oprzędach płytko w ziemi.
