Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w środkowej Europie oraz w południowej części północnej Europy, nadto notowany z Kaukazu. Występuje głównie na terenach nizinnych i pogórzach, niekiedy tylko w górach spotykany w strefie reglowej. Żyje w różnego typu wodach stojących, licznie poławiany na torfowiskach wysokich w Karkonoszach (Biesiadka 1973).
