Górski i podgórski gatunek środkowoeuropejski, występujący w Alpach, Sudetach, Karpatach i ich pogórzach. U nas pojedynczo i sporadycznie spotykany, w górach nie przekracza górnej granicy lasu, znajdowany głównie pod kamieniami.
