Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986c:
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem Europę południową oraz częściowo Europę Środkową, wykazywany też z jednej południowej prowincji Szwecji i z Kaukazu. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w ośmiu krainach. Zasiedla lokalnie tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie, głównie na zboczach kserotermicznych w dolinach. Bionomia tego gatunku nie jest poznana. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano przeważnie na pobrzeżach lasu i terenach pokrytych roślinnością krzaczastą, głównie w maju-lipcu na kwitnących baldaszkowatych; niekiedy w miejscach pojawu był spotykany gromadnie.
