Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek europejsko-syberyjski, na północ sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce z wyjątkiem wysokich gór prawdopodobnie występuje wszędzie, ale brak jeszcze danych z wielu krain. Znajdowany przeważnie w mrowiskach dużych mrówek leśnych, rzadziej w gniazdach ptaków.
