Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Motyl bardzo pospolity na łąkach, polach, otwartych przestrzeniach śródleśnych itp., licznie przylatujący do światła lamp. Występuje w dwu pokoleniach, w podobnym czasie jak gatunek poprzedni. Gąsienice żerują na wielu roślinach zielnych (mniszek, babka, jasnota, pokrzywa i in.). Spiżówka zimuje w stadium gąsienicy. Poczwarka przebywa w białawym, półprzezroczystym oprzędzie, zbudowanym podobnie, jak u Ch. festucae.
