Kawecki 1985:

Występuje w licznych krajach europejskich i na Bliskim Wschodzie. Rośliny żywicielskie: przede wszystkim dęby; z Polski notowany tylko na dębach, w innych krajach występuje na jesionach, orzechu włoskim. W Gruzji zaliczany do najgroźniejszych szkodników dębów.
