Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w środkowej, południowej i południowo-wschodniej części Europy oraz w krajach kaukaskich, na południe sięga po strefę roślinności śródziemnomorskiej, a na północ po południowe wybrzeża Morza Północnego i Bałtyku. W Polsce zapewne występuje na całym obszarze, notowany jednak z nielicznych stanowisk rozproszonych w różnych częściach kraju. Występuje w środowiskach suchych, często na zboczach kserotermicznych. Żeruje na mikołajku polnym — Eryngium campestre L.
