Gatunek zachodnioeuropejski, znany z Islandii, Wysp Brytyjskich, Półwyspu Iberyjskiego, Francji, Niemiec, Szwecji i Czechosłowacji. Żyje w wilgotnym mchu w lasach różnego typu.
