Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990b:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w znacznej części Palearktyki; w Europie na północ dociera do Wysp Brytyjskich i środkowych prowincji Fennoskandii, a na południe do Pirenejów, północnych Włoch i południowo-wschodniej Bułgarii. W Polsce wykazywany z nielicznych stanowisk w 9 tylko krainach. Postacie dojrzałe ukazują się w kwietniu i poławiano je do sierpnia. Żeruje na oczerecie jeziornym — Schoenoplectus lacustris (L.) Palla oraz na pyłku i liściach turzycowatych (Cyperaceae), zwłaszcza turzycy błotnej — Carex acutiformis Ehrh.
