Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1995:

Gatunek zamieszkujący głównie środkową część Europy, sięgający na północ po Danię, południowe obszary Fennoskandii i Karelię, notowany nadto z Irkucka i Sycylii. W Polsce występuje prawie na całym obszarze, szczególnie w jej części południowej; poławiano go na ogół w niewielkiej liczbie osobników, tylko w Puszczy Niepołomickiej obserwowano liczny pojaw na bardzo małej przestrzeni w obrębie torfiastej polany (Smreczyński 1972). Spotykany na różnych gatunkach wierzb, głównie na wierzbie iwie — Salix caprea L., rzadziej na wierzbie szarej — S. cinerea L., wierzbie uszatej — S. aurita L. i wierzbie rokicie — S. rosmarinifolia L. Bionomia tego ryjkowca jest poznana słabo. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano od kwietnia do końca czerwca. Młode imagines obserwowano od lipca.
