Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1995:

Bardzo rzadko spotykany gatunek europejski, notowany z zachodniej i środkowej części kontynentu oraz z Danii, południowych prowincji Fennoskandii oraz z Karelii. W Polsce stosunkowo rzadko spotykany, przeważnie łowiony w niewielkiej liczbie osobników, tylko w Puszczy Niepołomickiej obserwowany dość licznie na wielkiej torfiastej polanie (Smreczyński 1972). Postacie dojrzałe poławiano na wąskolistych i szerokolistnych wierzbach — Salix L. Bionomia tego ryjkowca i jego cykl rozwojowy nie są znane.
