Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Kaukaz i Anatolia, zawleczony do Europy i Ameryki Północnej. W swej ojczyźnie jest to gatunek holocykliczny i różnodomny, migruje ze świerka wschodniego na jodłę kaukaską. W Europie anholocykliczny, atakuje różne gatunki jodeł, między innymi i jodłę pospolitą — Abies alba Mill. Wyrządza niekiedy poważne szkody jodłom.
