Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986c:

Gatunek o nie ustalonej ostatecznie randze taksonomicznej, przez niektórych autorów uważany jedynie za rasę E. appendiculatus Er. Wykazywany z Europy Środkowej, zwłaszcza z jej części południowo-wschodniej. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w siedmiu krainach, przy czym prócz Cieszyna, pozostałe dane o rozmieszczeniu oparte były na znaleziskach z ubiegłego wieku, dlatego też zasiedlenie naszego kraju przez omawianego chrząszcza wymaga dalszych badań. Zasiedla tereny pagórkowate i niższe położenia górskie. Poławiany przeważnie późną wiosną i w lecie na różnych krzewach i drzewach.
