Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek występujący na pogórzu i w niższych położeniach górskich w południowej i środkowej części Europy, notowany poza tym z Wysp Brytyjskich, Belgii i Holandii. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w sześciu krainach południowych, przy tym większość danych o rozmieszczeniu oparta jest na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło stu lat. Występuje w małych zimnych strumieniach górskich i leśnych. Postacie dorosłe poławiane głównie w lipcu i sierpniu na kamieniach i mchach wodnych, zwłaszcza w strefie żerowania lipienia i pstrąga.
