Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek rozmieszczony głównie w środkowej i południowej części Europy, na zachód docierający do Belgii, Francji i Szwajcarii, notowany również z Maroka. W Polsce należy do rzadkości; notowany z nielicznych, rozproszonych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Zasiedla większe strumienie i mniejsze rzeki na podgórzach i w niższych położeniach górskich w strefie występowania lipienia i brzany. Spotykany zarówno w wodzie na kamieniach i wśród mchów wodnych, jak również, na pobrzeżach wód w piasku, pod kamieniami i napływkami w strefie zalewu i rozprysku wody.
