Taxon description
Gatunek rozpowszechniony głównie w środkowej Europie, na północ docierający do Wysp Brytyjskich, Danii, południowej Szwecji i Finlandii, a na zachód do Francji. W Polsce znany z kilku zaledwie stanowisk, przy tym dane ze Śląska są kwestionowane (Horion 1949), gdyż nie są znane materiały dowodowe z tego obszaru. Znajdowany pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, w pryzmach kompostowych i stertach nawozu.
