Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Gatunek bardziej rozpowszechniony i pospolitszy od poprzedniego. Czas lotu motyla przypada na V i VI. Gąsienica żeruje w VI i VII na różnych gatunkach porzeczek. Tryb życia motyla w poszczególnych stadiach bardzo przypomina sposób zachowania nacinka śliwiniaka (L. prunata L). Gąsienice L. mellinata, podobne barwą do zielonych łodyżek liści porzeczek siedzą nieruchomo w ciągu dnia, nie reagując w przypadku lekkiego zaniepokojenia. Gwałtownie przestraszone gąsienice spadają na ziemię i po uspokojeniu wracają na roślinę. Zimuje jajo.
