Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1985:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w zachodniej części Afryki Północnej i w Europie południowej, docierający na wschód przez Azję Mniejszą do Turkmenii i dolnego Powołża. W Polsce nie występuje. W zbiorach Zakładu Zoologii Systematycznej i Doświadczalnej PAN w Krakowie znajduje się okaz zaetykietowany „Rzeszów, leg. Scheitter 1879" (coll. S. Stobiecki), ale jest to prawdopodobnie egzemplarz zawleczony albo mylnie etykietowany. Rozwija się w martwych i zamierających drzewach: wierzbie białej — Salix alba L., białodrzewie — Populus alba L. i topoli czarnej — P. nigra L.
