Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1979:

Gatunek znany głównie z gór i przedgórzy w środkowej Europie, Francji, północnych Włoszech i Siedmiogrodzie. Występuje na kwiecistych łąkach, wyrębach i polanach, w wyższych partiach gór docierając do strefy kosodrzewiny i hal. Postacie dojrzałe żerują na kwiatach pierwiosnki wyniosłej — Primula (L.) Grufb., na włoci pospolitej — Solidago virga-aurea L. i jarzębiny pospolitej — Sorbus aucuparia L.
