Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Szeroko rozmieszczony w Europie.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żyje na czubkach pędów olszy szarej — Alnus incana (L.) Mnch., rzadziej na olszy czarnej — Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn. Kolonie tej mszycy odwiedzane są zawsze przez mrówki.
