Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990b:
Główny obszar rozsiedlenia tego gatunku obejmuje Podobszar Śródziemnomorski, na północ dociera do południowych części Europy Środkowej. W Polsce dość rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w siedmiu krainach. Gatunek kserotermofilny. Jako rośliny żywicielskie podawane są różne gatunki roślin z rodziny motylkowatych — Papilionaceae; w niektórych krajach południowych zaliczany do szkodników lucerny — Medicago sativa L.
