Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1976:

Gatunek szeroko rozmieszczony od północnej i środkowej Europy do Zakaukazia i Syberii, notowany też z Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce znajdowany na terenach nizinnych i w górach do regla dolnego. Żyje głównie w stałych, drobnych zbiornikach wodnych, zarośniętych roślinnością wodną i błotną, rzadko spotykany w efemerycznych kałużach i rozlewiskach.
