Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Pospolity, szeroko rozpowszechniony gatunek w północnej części Holarktyki, w Fennoskandii sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe, nie znany ze skrajnych, południowych części południowej Europy oraz północnej Afryki. Występuje głównie w strefie przybrzeżnej stałych, większych zbiorników wodnych jak stawy, glinianki, torfianki, starorzecza, zatoki jezior, niekiedy poławiany w zakolach rzek o słabym prądzie.
